Hmm. Wash them both out with hot water for at least 5 min each. Then try again. What are the brands of the hydrometers? If either one of them is Deep Six I would toss it lol.
Oh and its a hitcher ok. No problem there

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Well Iv been busy the past two days. I forgot to tell everyone my updates may be few and far between my mom had hand surgery yesterday a colonoscopy the day before and met with a back surgeon today. So I will try to get pics up tonight before I go to bed but no promises. I have a lot on my plate (both tanks, my mom, trashed house, and a 46 year old and a 3 year old that cant take care of themselves.) Corraline has REALLY took off on the base rock. The hydrometer I decided to trust was my deep six (the first one I got) The other hydrometer im just going to use for the 55. Got updates for the 55 as well

Sorry about your family troubles.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Okay short update: Yes, Im going to be slowly coming back, No, I dont have any more fish in the 55 however the 20 long and the 55 have enough plants to support the eco system reading all 0, My nano I havent tested in awhile, Corraline is spreading like the flu, my snail tank wiped when i took the heater out of it, One of my 50/50 lights burned out planning on taking it back monday, Have a 4 foot long hornwort to show off, Snails and 20 ghost shrimp in the 10 breeder no mini cycle (amazingly since I added them all at once).
Sorry im having to do this all at once. I have 2 viral illnesses atm, One is basically thousands a mini blisters on my tongue cheeks and gums, The other id rather not mention due to children coming on the site. I believe you all know im on anxiety medicines, They are working good and im getting a LOT of chicks not being so tense all the time. I dug 3 graves by hand today, Just got my brother to sleep, And still taking care of my mom so I have my hands tied right now.
Anyway, Miss you all honestly. Kind of getting lonely just having a couple of 40 year olds and a 3 year old to talk...well...deal with. I hope to get the time tomorrow to do some REAL updates, I have some very very nice pics to show you all, Im also going to take some more up to date ones.
Anemone has opened up more, Need to test the tank and see what all is going on, Also need to get a light for the fuge.
Now for the depressing part: My landlords daughter kicked us out, We have until thanksgiving to be gone. My landlord dosent know yet, His brothers a senator and I just told his nephew (the senators son) today and I think hes going to let my landlord know.
But im in a mood to ramble...Havent had anyone to talk to in the past 5 days so I have a lot of stuff id like to vent about, So before I start again im going to go ahead and get off. If I have time tomorrow (or whenever I get time) I want to get reading and get up to date with everything going on and get some proper updates up.
Cya all.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Thanks for checking in. We're here for you! Very depressing to know that your going to have to move out around thanksgiving.
I didn't know you had a twenty long. Corraline looks nice so it could be a good thing. Well at least you don't have any puffers to feed yet with the snails. I'm sure the goby loves that hornwort .

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
I hope so, I just added 3 INCREDIBLY HUGE hornwort bushels so hes still adjusting, The twenty long is what my brothers goldfish is in, I just threw my anacharis in it since theyre temperate. I gave them one of my 17W lamps when I put on the 4 footer. However I REALLY need another koralia 1 because my plants on the other end that arent getting flow (just the little ground cover things I got first) are turning black on the tips. Lots of root growth no shade or anything, Only diffirence between the others is the powerhead, But anyway like I said, I hope to be on tomorrow for big posts in both topics. Got my reading up to date (I believe, Everything went unread about half way through and idk what I missed) So, Im going to take my over powered sleeping pill. Il be up sometime tomorrow night lol.
Nice talking to you again, Tell your little friend from the other topic to call me and il let her live in my room with me.

Yea, Well I cant say why she would come stay with me because most of it isnt for young ears, But the only thing suitable for young ears is every girl iv ever been with (around 40 or 50) Dosent matter long or short term has always said "Your the perfect guy" So I mean it would just be a matter of time

Lol. Yea.
Anyway, Had to break out the 500 dollar 700 meter zoom camera for anemone close ups... Had to manually focus it too. You owe me.
Got to pull the pics off the other camera now. I should have everything up shortly. Not really going to do an update since you already read everything, Il just copy parts over to the other topic for the 55
Think im good for a damsel after the move?

Now that you mention it, yea it does. Kind of a bummer really my only zoa is ugly. Il probably let it spread and then sell it as a frag.

If you get better lights the zoa will most likely change color or be "viewed" in a different hue.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
I really dont care honestly. Im probably going to take the chisel to the rock and make it smaller. I want my shelf rock back for pretty things. Also I saw what *looked* like a shrimps feeler arm thing sticking out of the rock the favia is on. I looked at the rock, But theres no sign of holes for a shrimp to be in.
Really need to watch the tank more. I also just realized (After 5 days of running a single light.) That I could put the old 6500k 23W back in temporarily.
I had a lot more I wanted to discuss but alas, I forgot. Do you agree on my ID for the zoa? Please hurry, Im tired.

Well it doesn't really matter what kind it is. They are all the same really. The "shrimp" are just spaghetti worms and which rock is that?
