By the way, Larry (the IT guy) said you would be better off just switching who your renting the server from if your tight on cash. Which is kind of stupid on his part but hes just lazy so....

I got a program I could use to build one...It has EVERYTHING you could possibly need to make a website. If you want me to I could start playing around with it and see if we cant get our own domain name up. Youd still have to rent a server and buy a domain name but besides that we could do it ourselves.

Yeah sure. Go ahead and play with it and tell me if it's worth it. How much is it a month?

Depends on where you go. He said he worked with a lot of businesses and the only ones that were really happy with the provider was the ones using www.godaddy.com So id check that out for prices.

.....I'm a poor high school student . Not really but it was hard to navigate. I was thinking bluehost or something might work to. Right now the only major change is going to be buying a domain name.

Yea, I mean we could set up a simple forum where its JUST the forum but larry is fairly good at editing photos and stuff. Since iv learned a few tricks from him I figure why do it ghetto when we can do it nice.
Repairing my visual studio etc. right now so I should have the program running by the time you pass out.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Yep. I think you owe me.
By the way just to make things worse: EVERYTHING is doing GREAT...Nems opening up...Snails are alive and moving...Gobies alive...Everythings fine and dandy in the land of LJ's tanks....Accept...The heater in my nano is malfunctioning so I have to manually plug it in and unplug it to adjust temps.
Further edit: I dont even have to have the heater. Its not malfunctioning its the heat of the lights, Temps iv noticed as high as about 86 during the day when theyre on, gets down to 74-76 at night when theyre off. I am personally completely happy with those temps in my opinion its more natural night/day scenario. If the new bulbs dont do this I will plug the heater back up as needed. For now though im running into issues with cycling.
The anemone amazingly isnt even caring about the levels of everything rising. The more they rise the more he opens up. Have salt water sitting up in a 3 gallon bucket right now. No power head for it though so im having to manually mix the water every so often. Ammonia is around 1.25, So im assuming there is a level of die off in the tank as I dont think the current bio load could spike it this fast. I believe that because the base rock already has light green/cream corraline growth on it so im assuming it has beneficial algae on it. Nitrite is 1.0, Nitrate is between 5/10 (the colors on the card for the both are almost the exact same hugh(?). But besides that everything seems fine. Temps have been rising and falling like this for multiple days thinking about it now. Salinity and PH are steady at a little over 1.023 just shy of 1.024, And PH is holding at 7.8.
I believe its the "live" sand thats causing the spike as I saw nothing live in the sand while adding it. So im wondering if I should just go with a small bag of regular aragonite sand to finish the sand bed or if it would hurt to add more now? I can get good live sand with like water in the bag and clearly live things in it from Fintastic for 20 dollars for a 10 lb bag but I only need 5 lbs if that.
I believe my mom is going to charlotte today and since im staying up im going to have her run by the new fish store and get an application. Maybe see if they have any decent sand and see if they have those lights and do some comparisons. From the sound of it they might give me 5 pounds out of one of there tanks for free. I can hope at least. For now though I thought I would post my situation now in case I fall asleep. I wont have to post it later.
PF...PLEASE....Dont kill me...This time the issue isnt my fault.

Your longest post. . So um don't get live sand unless it actually is live. What are the temps of the tank now? Also i would research anemone behavior to see if that really is what it is trying to do.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
I stand corrected on temps. Its 82 and it dosent go above 84. My mom is getting into this though. The more she does the more money just magically appears, Like, I just got woke up...She brought me home an aquaclear 30. Going to lowes to find an aquarium safe silicone bottle...

Well. I had to make the notch in the screen part deeper this morning. Made it pop off the silicone so I had to redo it. Hopefully tomorrow morning il have it on the tank.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Yea it is. I cut the intake tube too short and figured out how I could fix it without silicone. Come out of the bathroom (where I work on stuff. Only counter.) Hes got it, I say drop it, He drops it and cracked it. So the chaeto is in a mesh bag until tomorrow night.
