Re: 40 Gallon Reef
srry about the crash, my tank busted the other night and I lost my beloved pipefish (Henry)
But I would definantly for now on use aragonite because that Home Depot stuff is not good. That could have caused the ph drop.

I figured the taro would take care of the silicates and phosphates. Guess not. Time for aragonite!

For Brent...
- Clown pair (percs)
- Flame Angel
- One more fire goby
- 2 yellow tails
- Cherub Angel
Just some of our ideas. Oh and another tang possibly.

Re: 40 Gallon Reef
Your tank isn't really big enough for a tang..... Even the Kole tang would be a stretch.
But you could try. (:

Re: 40 Gallon Reef
I know this . I guess i really shouldn't be talking like this since others might get the wrong idea. It would of course be a juvenile fish and obviously be a temporary fix. I mean i had a sailfin! We had a 120 lined up for him, but we called it off since....well the tank crashed.

Ah, I see. Well, I guess if it's only a temporary fix you should be fine. 'Specially since it would be a juvenile. (:

Re: 40 Gallon Reef
Giant isopods (the one in PF thread) are found hundreds of Thousands of meters down in the ocean. Few in the world have been brought up alive because of temp and pressure change. (their water is about 0 degrees)

No tank anymore. Took it down. We just travel to much....as shown by my absence from the forum. So we gave it to this "lovely woman at the store" .
