I come here to ask because you people seem to be my fellow hyper-nerds.
Here... does this make any sense to you all? I know what most of them are saying is true, but, as people who have used live rock, what's the deal?
User "ILuvMyGoldBarb" says this, "Live rock actually has areas conducive to the growth of anaerobic bacteria and thus nitrate reduction. Floss in a filter will have nothing but aerobic bacteria."
huh? I thought ALL BB were of the aerobic sort. And if oxygen isn't getting to certain parts, then neither is the waste.
