24 by 24 cube zoa now cold water
well my heater broke and crashed my tank and i have always wanted a coldwater reef so i traded my leds for a 1/4 chiller and set it to 65 for the cycle will be getting rocks from the beach today so ill get pics up soon
my set up is a vertex in80 skimmer and the bio pellets to reduce nitrates im looking for bio balls too for filtration and thing else i should get ?

I am thinking about adding some insulation (maybe styrofoam) to the back, bottom, and sides of my tank to reduce heat loss. Just an idea you might want to try too.

I heard your from Olympia? Should be able to get some nice stuff from the Sound then.

ok ill hook up the canister and i am from olympia i see lots of stuff thats why i did the change over and tired of paying 200 a zoa frag

Looks like you got some nice rocks. Is the tank 60 gallons? How big is the sump? That looks like a corner overflow in the back right, and two split black returns in the front but what's the white PVC pipe?

the pvc is for closed loop i rased it up so it would not suck stuff up and havent hid it yet

Looks alright. You might think of getting one tall rock that goes up and down in case nems want to be higher in the water column.

I'm going to be re-doing my rock scape soon as well and using some epoxy to build a sub structure of smaller rocks that the larger ones sit on that will have some caves and stuff. Similar to the one on that thread on RC.

i am going to epoxy my rocks too but am not shure how i want them yet

i must stop looking at all the new zoas that are coming out or my tank will go tropical again lol they keep calling my like crack to a junky lol

sorry my phone messed up i have eco bak pellets a skimmer and i jest got a wet dry sump for the bio balls and need to link the new sump with the old one
