Hey everyone! My name is Tom and i just set up my first temperate tank.  It's in the cycling stages right now.  All i need is to purchase a chiller after the cycling process and then to order livestock from CMA! Pretty stoked! I'll post some pictures when the cycling process is over.

It's just an aqueon 8g AIO tank. For my first temperate tank i wanted to stay small. I have a micro chiller from chill solutions ordered. Once the tank is running i may consider a reactor of sorts. Weekly 2g water changes will be done and daily feedings of anemones. Any other maintenance you guys would recommend for temperate?

What is your target temperature?

I'm anxious to know what that chiller is capable of with that size of a system.

I'm hoping to be able to keep the tank about 55 consistently. i asked chill solutions when they'd be sending them out and they said about 2-3 weeks.  No biggie because i'm cycling the tank now anyway. Plus, they said that its an updated version which is 25% more powerful. So, as you can expect, i'm pretty excited about this!!! Very Happy

I've been pulling 8-9 degrees below ambient with mine.  It works since I keep my house right around 71F at the most and now I am just keeping intertidal animals in there.  I think I need to take mine down and service it.  Blow the dust out of the heat sink and clean the peltier contacts off.

If yours puts out 25% more than you should be golden Smile
