In reading that title, the pairing of words hot+man were a definite concern of mine. Haha
And yeah. I feel bad for the shark...

The title makes no sense lol.
I never understand why dolphins and sharks let themselves get captured like that. I think that creatures with such high levels of intelligence should not be subject to death like that..
Anyways, good job on his part haha.

He put it in a bag with his other catch. I fished with him and his friends for shiner perch after that.

Oh... I think that sharks and dolphins are at opposite ends of intelligence spectrum. You want a really smart sea creature, look at the cuttlefish and the octopus. Sharks are more like 1/4 smart as a betta fish.

Whats the diff? lol. We have an aversion to eating that fish from cultural bias. 9/10 people on the planet would eat shark happily. Me, I would have let it go because I didn't want 5 lb of shark. I'm hoping to catch a small one to eat.
I do hope to keep perch in my 80 gal. need my chiller first.

Not as smart as elephant nose fish. If elephant nose fish were compared by brain to mass weight, than the elephant nose fish would be smarter than humans!Michael Milligan wrote:Pufferfreak wrote:The title makes no sense lol.

Crazy.
9/10 of the people on the earth? That seems a bit unrealistic. It's hard to say though.

well in comparision theoretically it would be correct but only experimentally can you get solid foundation for your reasoning.

I'm talking about the 9/10 of people that would eat shark!
I still think dolphins are smarter then cuttlefish and octopus.

Apparently fish balls are a very common preparation for shark.
I don't think you can catch a dolphin on a hook. For that you need a net! lol

Well im with PF on dolphins. I mean dolphins have started using nets they find in the bays to fish for crustaceans (probably killed another word)

Nope I think you're right with the spelling of crustaceans!
Really? I hadn't heard that but how tight!

Yea and theres a group of dolphins somewhre over seas taht schools fish into the shallows and one will go up and disturb the sand bed to make a ring of cloudy wawter around them then he'll swim through and the fish will jump out of the water to get away and into the mouths of the rest of the dolphins waiting.

No but I dont use movies to prove a point. In my opinion that instantly discredits you.

What proved to me the intelligence of Dolphins was watching The Cove about dolphin and porpoise slaughter in Taiji. It explains the tragic suicide of "flipper".

Yeah. It left me thinking. There's a serious on Animal Planet that continues with the story and their work. It's called Blood Dolphins.
