How would you say TR compares to other aquatic sites?
Self explainable. How would you compare the site to Reef Central, Nano-Reef, TPF, or any other similar site?

its not as common as tropical reefs, so kinda hard to find the people. its a small niche

Its going to be a growing scene I guarantee it.
The reason I'm doing a temperate reef is because it is a small niche area of the aquarium hobby right now that is more hands on.

Well at least we are all in consensus of people needed! I agree also. It wouldn't be as bad if all 51 members posted but they don't haha.
What about other things besides users?

IMHO, I think that if we had the members we would fare much better in the online aquatic community. Our active users are fun, active, friendly and knowledgeable- if we had more of that I think TR would be up with the best of sites. Besides our members, we have an appealing and easy to follow layout and resources to boot (tying in to our knowledgeable members).
Again, just my opinion.

I am keen to get into this side of the hobby - which is tiny compared to the tropical reef keeping -
I bet that there is literally no such forums in the UK - we have the odd article in Ultra marine - which was the inspiration for me wanting to set up a temperate marine tank.
I have a picture of what I would like to recreate in my tank - however this is a long way off - as I need to sort out an extension to the house and an overhaul of my home office.
The forum to me is great and easy to use
I have been here less than a day mind lol

Agreed. I'm sure that as people engage in conversation more, they'll be tempted to stay.

Great! I think it's funny how the way we're talking it's like no one else knows about this conversation but really everyone can see it..

Re: How would you say TR compares to other aquatic sites?
Yeah I thought about that. Oh well, everyone here understands that temperate reefers are hard to find so this forum is going to be a slow rowing community. If we could get like one explosion per week we would be good to go.

Re: How would you say TR compares to other aquatic sites?
Maybe site growth is related to the lower temperature slowing the metabolism of temperate reefers lol

Haha, if that's the case it took the forum a year to cycle. Now we're adding livestock!
