WOOO HOOO Just sold the last lobster tank I needed to flip to get money for the new tank. Got the money in my pocket and if all goes as planned I should be picking up a 60"x24"x48" tank made of 1.25" thick acrylic tonight

Can't wait to see it (hint hint).

So after all the tank flipping and money saving I've done to get to this point, I have to wait until the end of the month to buy the big tank.

My wife just went back to work on Monday from maternity leave so her first paycheck will only be a 1/2 paycheck. So I have to hold onto all my cash "just in case" says the wife. Why does she always have to make so much sense......

On another weird note, I was contacted by a local guy who has a video production company who wants to come and film 4-6 hours of footage of my tank to use in a high definition DVD.........and he wants to PAY me to do it He came to check out the tank yesterday afternoon and we spent a couple hours talking about how we could move a few things in the tank, and setup the garage for the right lighting and such.

It'll take up a whole sunday a couple weeks from now, but how F-ing cool is that???

Ah, well you'll be glad you have the money if something does happen.

That'd be awesome! I'd totally need to buy the DVD if it's filmed. Is he going to give you credit for the tank on the back/in the credits?

So we have the shoot set for the 21st and 22nd of this month. It should be pretty good since I found out what was making my anemones close up ( mosshead sculpin ) I picked up more spot prawns and a bunch of sidestriped shrimp, and I'll be going collecting on the 19th for more algae, sponges, rock, urchins, and anything cool that just screams take me home

Best part of the collecting trip is that we know right where almost everything we want this time is

This should be great... just make sure you don't collect something else to irritate your anemones.

So the video shoot was freakin awesome!!! I only managed to snap a couple pictures of the tank while we were shooting since I was pretty involved trying to get the gunnel to come out and say hi, lol.



The tank looked amazing in person with all the lights over it, gave me some cool ideas for lighting in the future. The video previews he showed me on his laptop came out spectacular I cant wait to see the finished product on my 42" LCD

Haha, pesky gunnels. Was it a continuous shot or was it done in segments?

I can't wait to buy it and then see the finished product on my 42" LCD.

We did 2 continuous shots of a little over an hour each and I did some commentary afterwards

Pics tomorrow, I'm so dead tired from moving rocks around. I had to pull out every piece of rock that didn't have some alive on it out of my tanks just to make room for everything.

That would probably be nice!

Heres some pics, they are quick and dirty, and everything is still adjusting after being moved, but you get the idea
