A Request I Made Empty A Request I Made

Here is a request i made to live aquaria to add a subtropical fish category under their marine fish page. I hope they do it. Very Happy.

The temperate and subtropical marine hobby is gaining momentum (temperatereef.forumotion.com) and aquarists are having hard a hard time finding the proper livestock with which to stock their aquariums I have noticed that Live Aquaria has begun supplying "subtropical" marine fish to the aquarium hobbyist. I think it would make finding subtropical fish for aquarists wanting to purchase these animals much easier if you were to put a "Subtropical Fish" category under your marine fish page.

It's occurring to me that I could make a lot of money off my local livestock. All I need is low tide and a bit of time.

I thought about this too, sent out some emails to local fish and game but never heard back. Guess I'll have to read through the collection regs again when I have time.

Was just looking at the commercial licencing for my coast, and they don't even have a license category for what we are talking about.

I think I'll just walk into their office and see what I can find out. It ACTUALLY might just be small scale closed containment aquaculture. It's not like I can just scrape a nem off a rock and through it in an envelope. SO, from that POV it's not really the nem I'm making money on, it's my skill time and equipment. As long as I don't deal in anything that IS commercially regulated then I might be ok.

As I said before, no one gives a crap about these critters but us weirdos. lol

I'll have to see what they say. I'm a LONG way off from anything anyway. Just started up the tank after all.

Haha... probably not the best course of action. They never responded to my request other then saying they will forward my question to some other department.
