Making Progress
I finally ordered my tank from envision acrylics in Oregon. The tank dimensions will be 36x20x20in with an external overflow. I couldn't afford spending the extra money on 3/4-1in acrylic which puts the price well over $1000, so I chose 1/2in. It's pretty mild here in Tacoma, WA most of the year and there's usually very low humidity so I'm thinking I'll be ok on sweating for all but the hottest days of the year. I also bought a used 1/5 hp chiller which should hopefully do ok pulling my tank ~20 degrees cooler than ambient (~55 degrees) with my total tank volume of ~80 gal. I've been doing a bit of snorkeling looking around for potential places to collect and have found a few sculpins and small anemones I'll look for in the future once everything is up and running. Of course for things I can't find I'll make a trip down to coldwater marine aquatics. Lucky I only live a little over 3 hours away.

+1 .
I'm always reminded of how expensive the aquarium hobby really is.
