Was the cory from one of your freshwater systems?

I wouldn't normally feed it every day. I don't really know how much it COULD eat. If I had to guess I would say about a cubic cm of shrimp or something. I ate that cory in one sitting. I would generally just drop something in every couple days and take any left overs out after a while.

Seems like a reasonable diet for a crab. How large was it?

2-3 in. across the back. They get big and yummy. Technically I wasn't allowed to have one that size, as they are a sport species. But it was in the interest of science and youtube so that is ok. He ended up back in the ocean after his stay anyhow.

Well at least it survived. In the future it might be better to get a smaller one and watch it grow.

It was smaller when I got it. It was really surprising how much it grew in one moult... like, double!

Crabs do grow fast! I remember when the temperate ones I obtained molted within the first week of being placed in my tank! Not only that, they began to reproduce once they had settled in.
