Good question. The which came first, the chicken or the egg anology always comes up when talking about whey there is no temperate/coldwater livestock suppliers. Maybe we should give them a "test market" to see how things could be ?

Is there any opposition to people directing potential suppliers or sponsors to the site? Even if we started with just hardware and equipment suppliers like marineland or something or JBJ or a pacific coast chillers or something, maybe smaller at first, but get sponsors that directly relate to our part of the marine hobby.

I'm pretty sure any person looking to to a temperate tank needs a chiller, not every tropical tank needs one, maybe we should corner the market on those sponors?

and i do love to blow money on stuff for my tank looks like all i can buy is scuba lessens and some sweet scuba gear

I dont know how much space it would take up, but maybe invite potential sponsors to advertise on the forum at no cost to them? Or at least give them their own sub forum to advertise specials, sales, and product discounts related to temperate tanks.

I've asked some people but I think we're a wee bit small for them to feel the need to sponsor. I guess it's more of a waiting game.

I don't have time . Plus I'm underage so it's hard to work out deals..

That can be fixed, if we actually tried referring people here (by use of more than just a signature...).

I hate to spam. People will come, and those who actually try to find the site are more likely to stay than those who are bored and decide to follow a signature link.

Several other sites link to us too, so it's not like we're completely cut off from the industry circle.

Once apon a time TR was a itsy bitsy community with only 3 people - probably not a lot of sponsors would be inticed to sponser us... BUT I BELIEVE IN GETTING SPONSERS!!!!!! WHO'S WITH ME????!!!

Bringing back a thread here but I'm going to try to get more people on TR! I agree with the post that says we need to start referring people here.
