My new toys!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, well I went with the absolute BEST light that is made for reefers. This is a 120 watt Aquatic Reeflections LED fixture. It came with a microcomputer timer that I can set timing 3 times a day for every day of the week. The light coems with moonlight built in and certain panels of the light can be turned ona nd off seperately. This fixture costed me $400(that is with the discount, I am friends with the owner of aquatic reeflections). I also picked up a Euro reef skimmer, Eihem filter thing that will be used as a phosban reactor, and a surface skimmer.
here is a pic of the fixture. It has three automatic turn on cooling fans.
and them turned on
the skimmer. by teh way, I wear a size fourteen for comparison.
the phosban reactor
surface skimmer
the entire setup.
diy sump with bubble catch, refugium, and return area.

I hope it's for a temp reef.
But I imagine those lights are for corals.

They were 700 bucks each. You think a normal idiot would buy 1400 dollars of fish to kill them?

Well I've seen people spend a ton of $$ on a reef without buying a generator. ;]
Sucks to be them.

I sort of feel bad for them, being kept in tropical conditions. The ones I've seen at aquariums are in special pressurized aquariums with no lights. But you can see there bio-luminescence!

Re: My new toys!!!!!!!!!!
I see where you're coming from.
If I had it, I would definately keep it in a subtropical, zero-light condition, other than the light that bleeds in from outside and such.
Seeing as they come up to the surface sometimes I doubt they need the pressure. But what do I know?
