Temperate Gobies Sold As Tropical Livestock

Below is a list of temperate gobies sold as tropical livestock.

• Catalina Goby (Lythrypnus dalli)
  
• Zebra Catalina Goby (Lythrypnus zebra)
  

Some places don't even say they are coldwater. You can buy them at liveaquaria.com for about 20$. I am thinking about getting one when my tank stabilizes.

Oh It kills me when I see them sell as tropical species. I try to warn perspective buyers that it is a temperate species goby and require cooler temps that our tropical counter parts can not deliver.
It must be the eye catching red and blue bands that make the Catalinas a must have for the colorful
reefs. I did hear that some people have had some success keeping them in higher temps but I can
not confirm those accounts. For me I will keep them temperate.
