Do they have a PJ's Pets or Pets Unlimited in your area..? Or is that strictly Canadian? They have tanks for sale too, but not at as good a price.

I can get 10 gallons at petsmart for $14 no hood. I just think there should be a way to get better prices. I mean even if it was just $10 instead of 14 ($13.99 to be exact) Its like...I mean...I would happily pay $15 each if it was with a simply glass hood like I have for my 20L. Hell then I could just mass 4 foot flouros Very Happy

You can probably get such deals on Craigslist, but not in the quantities you would need.

When I can afford it. I got an appointment at social security tomorrow for SSI (Suplimental Security Income) If I get aproved il be using that money to get everything going. Il probably get 2 180 gallons with the first check and just go down the list until the tanks are ready for frags and then il just start buying dump truck loads of frags so to speak to grow out for mother colonys.

I'm not going to ask as It's none of my business.

Anyways, that'll be really great! What types of corals are you going to go for first? SPS, LPS, etc....

The way I figure it the entire set up will be 2 -150W MH's on each tank. zoa's GSP's and other soft corals first so I can get in the rhythm of dosing etc. then Il get SPS and LPS. If sales on corals get high enough il probably start breeding snails and other parts of a CUC and raise a lot of macros to sell also. Then I might get into anemones.

Anemones are probably easier than Macros. It's pretty difficult to keep a macro aquarium clean and pristine, as a good many release a substance into the water which turns the water an off yellow. An ozonater would fix it up, but I don't know if you'd want to deal with that. I just don't know if customer's would take seeing yellow water too well. Maybe you should practise with a macro tank of your own first. Just sayin'.

Hmm...Good point. Ozonaters are nusciances in themselves. Maybe we'll just leave the macros out?

Well, they can be very easy IF and only if you pump air out of the ozonator via the skimmer. This way, even if the plastic tubing erodes, it won't get into the air you breathe, and it will be safe. I'm not really sure how this works, though. Still researching. I'm going to be expirementing with silicone tubing, and will definately keep a close eye on erosion. I suggest that, should you include an ozonator you do the same. Plenty of plastics have been tried and failed, but not silicone (as far as I know). I know Jon Olav began using silicone after his tubing eroded, but he ended the blog before he could post any updates.

Hmm..Interesting. I would honestly not even bother with tubing to begin with. I would try to rig up a way to get it to work how I want without the hole erosion problem or having to make any sacrifices.

If you find a way to connect the ozonater to your tank without tubing, you're a genious! 👅

There are ways around that. As long as you don't expell the excess air into your breathing air, it should be fine.
