A few pics.....updated since I finally did a little collecting

I finally managed to get some collecting accomplished last week before the weather turned nasty......plus, my Grunt sculpin decided to come out into the open. Here's some updated photos....

Oh Man Steve, that is like Temperate tank porn.

And I don't even have ONE nem yet! lol they are my faves.

Where are you? Good variety, but I would like to see more macro-algae (at least in my tank).

Lucky for me we both live in the Portland, OR area I actually ended up with some of his old anemones via another temperate tank owner.

That reminds me, think I can come and drool over your tank sometime in person?

As stated, I'm in Oregon. I'm more into replicating the areas that I dive at in Puget Sound.....and once you get down past around 30 ft, the macros disappear except for the base of kelp plants.....besides, the macros need more light to grow, and that tends to lead down the path of the dark side filled with nussiance algae, frustration, and despair.

Here's a good video at what it looks like at depth. It's not my video...but a good representative of what it is like in the North sound around the San Juans.

Wow has this tank filled in quite a bit since these pics were taken! I had the pleasure of seeing Steve's tank today in person and man is it nice! I dont want to spoil it for the rest of you so I wont say much more and I'll wait until Steve decides to to a full unveiling.
