Mylar is the most reflective material available for lights. Second only to flat white paint. Anemone almost totally opened up after 2 hours but my SG is high so I had to kill the lights to fix it.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Took you long enough . Not right now that I can think of. My SG was high because the light is killing me with radiant heat. Im going to try and cook up a DIY PC fan for it and maybe wire it up to the lights so it only comes on when the lights on.
Need to test the tank here soon. Decided to wait on a water change until I test it and the heat comes down.
All I can think of for now. Accept I did talk to the assistant service manager at Office Max today so hopefully I get hired. Oh, And as promised, Il post pics before the lights go out.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Yea, Im kind of questioning if they we're fire and ice. The outside was more orange/tan like it was dieing(?). Your lucky, I took the last pic and not 3 seconds later the lights went out. Anemone wasnt anywhere near as open as it has been lately. Im trying to figure out why even though its practically open most of the time now, I dont see any "arms"
Il get the pics up later, Iv been busy today and still got more online applications to do and like 3 paper applications.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Retracted tentacles is often a sign of poor water quality. It may have been that the holding tank wasn't treating him well.
What color is the center of the zoas?

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
55$ is a rip off IMO. I would talk to locals or look in the classified section of local clubs. Really I got my fire and ice frags of 20+ polyps for 10$.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
This thing wasnt fire and ice, But, It was about 100+ really small polyps. As for clubs I dont know of any around here or any locals to ask. My water quality is still working its way towards good so maybe thats why theyre retracted. anyway let me wake up and il get pics up.

Re: Starting a 6 gallon.
Have I checked what? Lol. Anyway, Il get those pics up in just a minute I forgot last night...I know.
Anemone isnt as open as usual in those pics. Doing a WC probably tomorrow morning before the lights come on and make the temp sky rocket. Hoping to get a muffin fan soon and il wire it up to the light to vent the heat.
Corraline has started to spread onto the base rock (YAY!!! ) Anyway, Heres the pics
