Blunts back? again? maybe? for awhile?

Wassup everyone. Been checking in on the forums every couple weeks but I actually have something worth posting now. I have good news and bad news however. Good news is I have been volunteering at my LFS and I'm waiting on an e-mail from the HR manager to see if I have the full time job (YAY!) Bad news is that 7 minutes after sending an e-mail to him (i think its a him anyway) that I hadnt checked my e-mail and missed an offer he sent me for 2 days of work and $10/hour store credit for their annual sell because my grandfather has...well...had been doing bad and just found out he had stage 4 brain cancer (as well as having a stroke and breaking his hip all within 4 days) I got the call that he died. So I may be back on regularly from here on out or it may be a few more weeks with the funeral and if I get the job. Either way we'll hopefully be able to get me back into the "knows so much he IS a fish" status at some point soon.


By the way. I still have the experiment with no air in the 2 5 gallon buckets that used to contain my livestock (snails hermits and 4 zoa polyps) and I'm curious if you guys would be interested in finding out what if any non microbial life survived this long.

Emails for jobs???? what is this world coming to ,if I hired someone ,I would have the decency to call them ,I understand appilcation with email but hiring ..thats wrong IMO an email can get overlooked,end up in the spam folder etc etc...How the hell did he/she ever become a HR manager treating people's empolyment like this...What's wrong with a phone call or even a call to the LFS in question to let them know to call you... That's really has got my back up.

God luck with the job I hope the LFS is better at managing people than the HR is (customer related Buisness and the HR cant relate to people...that just disgusts me to no end .)

lol no I didnt get the job because of exactly what snapperhead mentioned. Customer based business' HR not relating to people. Missed working the anniversary sale because of the memorial/funeral and missed working the following tuesday due to a medicine change. I, After a bit of persistence lol, Got a reply: I think we're okay for staffing currently.

Yeah HR says it all

Its cool. I'm just going to go up there one day during the week and if either of the 3 people that I know will vouch for me are there I'm just going to ask for the owner directly.
