Re: My 20 Long
Lol the tank looks like a sump. I would keep doing what you're doing. When the SG is restored to normal then start messing around with the tank, doing stuff such as cleaning and what not. Otherwise you would probably put more stress on the system.

Re: My 20 Long
Heres a comparison between the average 75W Metal Halide Aquarium light and my 150W High Pressure Sodium grow light.
75W MH: Couldnt find any total numbers so il do it this way.
Lumens:1000-1250
Temp: 10,000K - 14,000k
150W HPS:
Lumens: 16,000
Temp: 3,500 or 4,000 I forget...
Granted, the lower tempature causes a severe cut in efficiency however the lumen nuke more than makes up for. I cant find the exact output chart for the two bulbs for comparison however if I remember correctly the 150W is overall 2 - 3 times as effective.

Re: My 20 Long
Your aquarium is very unorthodox. Instead of the traditional freshwater, brackishwater, and marine tanks, you are keeping a brine aquarium!
Nitrate is really high by the way.. Your ammonia is looking to good either. But just keeping doing what you're doing until it becomes stable again.

That would actually be pretty interesting if you decided to do it.
But I think somebody prefers a reef.

Re: My 20 Long
As of 4 AM SG is down to 1.032. I think i should be good to let it drip away until I get up. (factoring the HPS evaporating some)

Re: My 20 Long
Okay I got the HOB fuge going again and im working on the SG still. Its finally registering on the meter in the numbered area lol. I just calculated my turnover to be around 40x/hour. If I ditch one of the powerheads I can get down to about 25-30, If I ditch both and move things around a bit and add my little Maxi-Jet 400 I should get around 15-20. Opinions? I could REALLY use those 2 Azoo-1200's for the 55. Its only got a koralia 1 in it.

Re: My 20 Long
Sent a e-mail to reef cleaners to talk to them about there opinions on anything extra. Also, whether I get the CUC this week or next week im def getting a mangrove pack this week. I plan on putting 2 or 3 in the 20L and the other 2 or 3 on the 55. That way we can get some good stuff going
