Has anybody here ever caught a lumpfish or lumpsucker? Or even better does anybody have one?

The Pacific Spiny Lumpsucker Eumicrotremus orbis looks amazing.

lol!

Welcome to temperate reefing. EVERYONE loves that fish.

I have Northern Clingfish (Gobiesox maeandrichs). And looking at it's latin name, I guess I do have a Goby!

I talk to Jacob on N-R all the time and he used to always go on about that fish! Laughing

I saw the clingfish in one of your videos, nice! Clingfish are definitely in the goby family.

Lets bump this old topic...
I have had several Cyclopterus lumpus.
They are rather common here in Finland, and because the salinity in the Baltic sea here in the north is really low, they stay really small. The males I have had were only max 10cm/4".
In the spring time they are all over our fishing nets! The females are too big, but still small compared to the Atlantic ones.

If anyone is in the market for Lumpsuckers still I will be bringing in several Japanese Lumpsuckers (Lethotremus awae) next week Very Happy

10 are sold to the Portland Aquarium already along with all the temperate Japanese Pygmy Filefish, but we should be getting about 30 total lumpsuckers.

The plan is to pair them off and start breeding them stateside in our facility but any of them that dont get paired will be for sale Smile

Heres the link to the google image search for Lethotremus awae:
