Share the love....

So a local reef club forum that I frequent starting doing this a while back and it has been a huge success. Basically the idea is to "share the love" of a hobby we all take part in.

The bare bones of the idea is that someone starts it by posting up an item (usually a coral frag, but they have since moved on to equipment as well) that they can live without or that they feel they could pass on to someone else.

Everyone else then posts the words "share the love" in the topic to essentially enter themselves into a drawing for that item. At the end of usually a week, the original poster counts the totally number of posts in the thread and writes them down on a pieces of paper and draws a random winner that coincides with the post # in that thread.

At that point who ever is the winner gets what ever the prize was sent to them free of charge ( the OP paying for shipping) and then is responsible for doing the next Share the Love and passing on the shipping costs.

I just think it is a really cool way to share things without directly trading for them, especially since most of us are spread out across the US, even the the world, and our hobby is really in its infancy.

Anyways if you are interested in doing something like this please post in here to show your interest. If there is enough people on here interested I will be the first person to Share the Love. It will most likely be some strawberry anemones since they are finally starting to spread in my tank, and everyone seems to love them

o i need some strawberry nems but have nothing yet but will get in on this once i get the tank cycled

Lmk when your tank is ready, I'll start propagating the strawberrys so that there are plenty when everyone here is ready for them.
