I'm leaving this thread... to go to bed . Lol. You should go to sleep too and figure out what you're going to do with this tank!

It's definitely 12:30 now. Haha. It's only four hours difference from NYC I believe.

Macro Reefs can be as nice as Coral Reefs. Temperate Reefs are the best though .

That's because I don't want just a reef tank. They, somehow, don't inspire me as much as the other choices.
It sort of sucks that Igor ripped the road out just down from my house... and pretty much everywhere else along the highway. I can't get there to service my 25g, and it must be cold. If my cycle dies off I'm going to cancel my order at the LFS and turn it into a freshwater native biotope (which was of course the "other" I was referring to).
I just wish I had more tanks for all the temperate stuff I stumble upon!

Agreed PF. I think macro tanks are nicer, though maybe I'm biased because they aren't as common as reefs.

Reef tanks are nice and I love fully mature and developed reefs.
That's to bad about the hurricane. Hopefully things don't end up looking to bad.

Re: My 10g looks so empty...
I guess they can be nice...
On the topic of the hurricane, I'm mostly just disappointed I wasn't in NL to see it. Haha
Storytime:
I was in Florida, which I thoroughly disliked due to the fact that all we did was Disney. I got to Ft. Lauderdale beach once, on the first day, but there was nothing much to be seen there. The bulk of the trip was spent trying to find princesses to sign my little sisters book. That, and there are practically no good rides there. Anyhow, on Monday we drove 4 hours from Disney to Ft. Lauderdale airport, flew to Toronto (3 hours-ish), spent an hour-hour and a half waiting to board there, flew to Newfoundland (3 hours), tried to land three times (a good 45 minutes to an hour), then circled for another 30 minutes or so. We were then redirected to Halifax (1 1/4 hours), landed but there was a power outtage at the airport and we couldn't get off the plane. After fifteen minutes or so, after refueling, we flew back to Toronto (2 hours) and that was where I was stuck for the next two days.
Not a good day.

I'm sure you could find something good to do in Toronto. It doesn't look like a boring city.

Re: My 10g looks so empty...
Well, when you have a little sister like mine it's hard to do anything. All she wanted to do the entire trip was play in the hotel pool, including the non-Disney days we had in Florida. And honestly, the pool was not that great at all. She didn't even enjoy the Toronto Zoo and we left after just one section- Indomalaya.
Anyways, I digress... but seriously...

Just looked at their website. The website wasn't so nice... Didn't make me eager to go or anything. ;D
Maybe it's better in person.

http://aquarium.ucsd.edu that's the site. It doesn't really show that many pictures however I'm sure it's not as nice as the one Monterrey. Still it's not bad, it has some neat stuff.
Here's an exhibit.

Somehow that doesn't impress me a whole lot.
I'd be thrilled to go there anyway, but I'm not going to plan a trip around it. ;]

I see. It's definitely not huge though. I mean give it a break! It's a college aquarium.

Birch is great, but Monterrey is world-class.
