DIY Mixer, 1 Pump, 4 Buckets.
Im doing a little planning on this one. I think I can make it work.
Parts list:
PVC - Staight and L peices
Silicone - Aquarium safe of course
Power head - Already have. Il be using my 106 GPH Maxi-Jet 400, After I get my new power heads
Buckets & lids - Lowes has 5 gallon buckets lidless for $3 each. I plan on getting 4 and lids for them.
The plan:
(Buckets are A,B,C,D)
Hmm...How to explain it? Il just try my best.
Make a PVC rig to go from the power head in Bucket A. Out of the lid into bucket B,C, And D, Then back into A. Drill holes in the PVC to let water out into Buckets B,C, And D. Leave end of PVC rig for any return/excess water. Make a second one with T connectors in the center, With a small amount of PVC coming out of the T into the buckets, So I can cap it to fill with water for suction.
The theory behind it is: Power head pushes water through PVC, Out of the holes into the other buckets, While sucking its water from Bucket A. Left over water will return to Bucket A to be re-used. While the second PVC run (With the T sections) will in theory have suction to keep all the buckets water levels even. Both PVC rigs will be siliconed onto the lids.
Although while typing this i have come up with added ideas to improve/extend the life of the rig. This is just of course a theory and furthermore will not be done unless needed.
Possible theorized upgrades: Capping the end of the power head fuled run, Drilling a hole in it for increased pressure. This in theory would keep Bucket A being mixed as well.
Opinions? Suggestions? All comments welcome.

I suppose
I'll probably just buy one if ever the need occurs, though. I'm lazy right from the getgo.

I cant build it right now. It will be awhile due to other things going on and right now I really dont need it. However if I get a job sometime soon il build it for giggles. If one of you wants it and I have no use for it il send it to you once i build it. Lol.

Lol. Anyway, I believe with everything going on the project is going to have to be entirely scrapped. Nice plans though if PF wants to leave them I think they could be useful to someone.
